Spring is in the Air

We can't wait for spring! I already started planning my daughter's new spring wardrobe. I made this shirred dresses and was very fast to put together. I am now thinking about the possibilities and variations that I can sew...

Doll Fashion

I made the dress for this antique doll (I got her when I was 9 years old) because her clothes were not in very good shape (but the shoes are original). It's made with cotton fabrics in burgundy and pink colors. The skirts are trimmed with delicate lace and ribbon bows. The bonnet has elastic on the back and ribbon closure on the front.

This other doll my mother gave to my daughter and she needs a wardrobe (still working on more pieces, after all, a girl can never have enough dresses :) ) It has a lot of lace and buttons detail on the front and has back ties. It was made with a cotton calico fabric.

Baby, it's Cold!!

Here is my daughter's new scarf. It has 5 stranded braided cable in the center and on each side a small mock-cable. It was made with winter white wool blend yarn that has a little sparkle. Doesn't that look warm and toasty?

Custom Made

This pillow cover was custom made for a friend of mine. She had some of her father's ties and asked me to make a pillow, so she will be able to display them instead of keeping them in a drawer.
I used 1/2 inch piping and invisible zipper on the back so she can get it clean if needed.

Also for her I made this scarf (my favorite pattern). I made it longer than mine because she is taller then me.
